PTFE - the obvious choice of material for our customers

Our customers are operating in many industries, and they have one thing in common; they have products or applications which benefit from the unique properties of fluroplastics like PTFE, PFA and ETFE. The different ways to use fluoroplastics are basically innumerable. We have collected some brief descriptions of applications here below.  Reference cases can also be found in the menu to the left.

Chemical industry - PTFE the inert choice

We produce tubing and liners for pipes for chemically very tough environments. PTFE is the most inert of all polymers. It is therefore used in manufacturing, transport and handling of most chemials, for example in the paper industry.

Gas and automotive industries - PTFE handles the temperatures

PTFE is one of the very few materials and the only polymer that can be used up to + 260°C and down to many degrees below zero. Some of its properties are still functioning all the way down to -200 °C. PTFE is an excellent choice for applications, where the temperatures are high or low, and where safety is an important issue and where fire/explosions have to be avoided. That is why many of our products are used in car engines or in gas filling.

Food and drug industry - low friction and clean tubing

Applications within the food and drug industry, can benefit from the extremely low friction coefficient of our PTFE products. It is very difficult for dirt and other residues to get stuck on a PTFE surface. This is very important in production where cleanliness is an issue. It is also a widely used material for seals etc., which can function without any form of lubrication. In the power industry, PTFE is used for high voltage breakers, as the material removes the explosion risk. PTFE is non-conductive in its virgin state. However, by using fillers, it can be made more conductive, which is a very important property, when our products are used together with some flammable gases or liquids. PTFE is very friendly to the human body and is frequently used in medical applications.
